Performance Opportunities

At Silicon Valley Second School, we believe in celebrating progress. That’s why students have several opportunities each year to perform in front of an audience. These events allow students to showcase their hard work and experience the excitement of sharing music with others.

Performances also teach valuable skills, such as stage presence and overcoming nerves. This confidence spills over into other aspects of their life as well. We work with our students on memory, performance readiness and interpretation to make sure they can perform with confidence.

Genres Our Music Teachers in Cupertino Teach

While there are many styles of music to enjoy, our program focuses on classical music because of its complexity and ability to teach a holistic musical foundation. Students study pieces by the great composers, and they’ll gain an appreciation for music that has stood the test of time.

Classical music gives students a solid foundation that prepares them to explore other genres. The discipline, technique, and theory acquired in these lessons transfer to other musical styles.
