Why “Silicon Valley Second School?”
This is a place where discipline meets joy — where the rigor of structured learning and the happiness of discovery go hand in hand.
A Message from our Founder, Natalya Karamyan:
“Growing up, I had the great fortune of being trained by exceptional teachers who taught me not only how to play the piano, but how to truly love music. When I came to the United States, I noticed that many children were not being challenged in a way that allowed them to experience that same love — because without real structure, learning can feel unanchored.
That is why I founded Silicon Valley Second School in 2008 — a "school away from school" where children receive the same level of rigor, intention, and care in their music, art, chess, and dance education as they do in their academic studies.
Over the years, our school has grown into a vibrant community of dedicated students and world-class instructors. We are proud of every child who walks through our doors.
Understanding the power of structured learning, our teachers create a unique educational environment where the arts aren’t just art; they are science, too. The blend of joy and discipline in our approach helps students not only unlock their musical, artistic, and intellectual talents, but also cultivates essential life skills like patience, discipline, and perseverance.
We invite you to discover a new way in education, where the joy of learning music, math, art, or chess is combined with the structured approach of academics.”
“Together, we will help your child develop the skills they need to succeed in life.”
— Natalya, Founder of Silicon Valley Second School
